Professional table tennis shoes

Adding table tennis shoes to your arsenal

There are many types of table tennis accessories. Having the proper table tennis equipment is vital to the expert table tennis player.

Why are table tennis shoes better?

Let's take for example the different types of shoes that are designed for the table tennis player. The bottoms should have plenty of traction to prevent you from sliding around, which could cause you to loose your footing and even worse, lose the point.

What features do I look for when buying a table tennis shoe?

Again, pay close attention to the craftsmanship of the shoe. Some table tennis shoes are flat on the bottoms that have rock hard reinforced sides, which will help to prevent you from rolling your foot to better help you stay flat on the ground thus maintaining balance. This is accomplished by adding a hard rubber insert that is laterally inserted into the non-slip sole and extended into the instep.

Joola makes a great shoe called the Joola Protect. This table tennis shoe offers dampening which relieves the heel area, thus protecting the joints in the entire foot.

There is also the Joola Touch. A nylon leg with leather reinforcements, special non-slip soles, and interchangeable, inner soles are the great features of these extreme table tennis players shoes.

Stiga has a lightweight shoe called the Wasp. Guaranteed support from the non slip flexible one piece out sole.

Apparently we have shoes for everything these days. Table tennis shoes? Let me guess: they are more adherent to the floor? What makes them so special?

Yes that is correct. Plus they weigh less than other shoes making you lighter on your feet.
