Sharpening your table tennis game with practice and drills, not matches

If you are a table tennis player and you want to improve your game and skill level, not to mention your rating then the first step you should take is to stop playing matches.

Practicing those flaws in your game that you are having trouble with instead of playing a match is more helpful because your don't always see the same shot or situation compared to practicing over and over till you have corrected the problem.

There are many different drills you can to with another partner. There is basic forehand to forehand or backhand to backhand or mixing it up, playing half the table or corner to corner, chopping, pushing, blocking or looping. If you don't have a partner footwork drills and serve practice is always needed.
