A simple method for repairing a dented table tennis ball
Here is a really useful method I came across for reparing a dented table tennis ball.
Water method
2. Put the ping pong ball on top of the water as shown below
3. Take it out when it gets hot enough.
4. Cool the ball down as seen in the video.
- As the gases in the ball expand, the force created should be just enough to make it revert back to normal. For best results don't put the table tennis / ping pong ball down while it's still hot because the ball will form a flat edge. Keep it suspended, whether by holding it gently or hanging it in some kind of soft fabric, until it cools off.
You should probably know that this only works with table tennis balls that have no cracks in them. If there's even the slightest puncture this method will not work for you.

That is unbelievable as said on the video. I wonder if the ball still bounces the same? I'm going to have to try that out
