About table tennis blockers and how to defeat them

The table tennis blocker is one of the most difficult players that you will ever play with. This player may not have a powerful attack, but he or she will frustrate you with his or her powerful defense. Basically, the strategy of the blocker is simple: return every ball to the other side of the table.
Whatever shot you make, it will just keep on coming right back at you. The blocker will simply give you back your drives and will frustrate you to the point that you will make a mistake. Most of their points will be earned from the errors you make.
About the different types of table tennis blockers
So, in order to defeat the table tennis blocker, you need to know how to hit the ball through a wall. The first thing that you need to do is determine if the table tennis player is an aggressive blocker or a defensive one. The aggressive blocker will block your shots and at the same time, manipulate the ball and place it strategically in your side of the table that will force you to a defensive position. They will often set up an attack strategy with their blocks.
The defensive or passive blockers are blockers that will seldom attack. They will just keep on returning every ball you give them up until you lose your concentration and make a mistake. The best thing to do here is keep your cool and concentration throughout the game. With patience, you will be able to defeat them at their own game.
How to defeat a solid table tennis blocker
Most players who are pitted against a blocker will often give up their best serves and returns because of the thought that it's just useless to do so as the blocker will just be able to return the ball to your side of the table with little effort. Don't make this same mistake. Stick to your best serves and return serves and you will be able to get good balls that may help you hit the ball through blockers. Keep the pressure on the blocker and avoid playing the game at his or her rhythm.
Lastly, most blockers are weak on their table tennis attacks. Try giving them good balls to tempt them to attack. Chances are, you will be able to respond well to their attacks and get them off balance or off tune with their strategy. You may risk losing a point but the rewards are better as you will be throwing them off their strategy.
These are some of the things that you need to remember when playing against a blocker in the game of ping pong. By following these tips, you will be able to increase your chances of winning the match. Just remember to keep your cool and concentration.
